Safety and Compliance

We pride ourselves on upholding the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance, ensuring every delivery meets or exceeds industry requirements for secure, legal operations.

Driver Conduct and Safety Standards

1. Driver Conduct

  • Be respectful, professional, and polite at all times.

  • No smoking, no vaping, alcohol, or drugs while on duty. In particular, on warehouse property.

  • Wear required safety gear (such as reflective vest/uniform)

  • Never request tips or extra fees from customers.

.

2. Driving & Vehicle Safety

  • New drivers must sign a Defensive Driving Commitment when joining.

  • Drivers are required to complete safety training and evaluations shortly after onboarding and at regular intervals (for example, every 6 months), in line with company policy.

  • Perform a quick daily vehicle inspection (brakes, tires, lights, mirrors, and signals) before starting routes.

  • Reduce speed and drive with extra caution in poor weather; pause or stop deliveries if conditions become unsafe.

3. Emergency & Well-Being

  • Immediately report any accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, or health issues to leadership.

  • Seasonal protection such as hydration guidance, heat or cold‑weather support, and rest breaks is provided to help protect driver health.

  • Any incident involving accident, tickets, or theft will require a police report to be submitted for record keeping and if any follow up action needs to be taken such as filing insurance claims.

  • Driving hours and workloads are managed to prevent fatigue and support long‑term driver safety and well‑being.

  • Recommended to carry an insurance policy for auto emergency service such as AAA. This company provides roadside assistance such as fuel, tire repair and towing services. Their premium membership is just $99 per year. What a bargain.

4. Insurance

Drivers are required to carry General Liability Insurance, Cargo theft, and commercial vehicle liability. We recommend Trivly and Biberk for good insurance quotes. The liability limits are stated in the independent contractor's contract.
